You need to join one of the organizations for a regulated, approved and official Channel Swim. Both organizations offer a lot of information on their websites.
Expect to pay quite a bit of money for an attempt. A pilot/boat will set you back approx. GBP 2300, registration/administration approx. GBP 300, medical exam approx. GBP 100, couple of nights in Dover/Folkestone before Race Day approx. GBP 250, food/drinks and equipment for Race Day approx GBP 150. The feeling after completing a Swim; Priceless!
